Description

The Large Trace Cell Collector is designed for efficient collection, enrichment, and preservation of shed cells from contact surfaces at crime scenes. Each collector features a highly adhesive membrane that captures cells directly from evidence surfaces without reacting with common DNA extraction reagents. The collector’s flexible base conforms to uneven surfaces and enclosed areas, ensuring maximum sample recovery. Supplied in a ventilated square paper box, the collectors are suspended inside to prevent contamination and facilitate safe transport. Each box contains 100 collectors with 3 specialized membrane tweezers.

Usage Instructions:

1. Use the provided membrane tweezers to peel the collector.

2. Press the adhesive side onto the evidence surface to capture shed cells.

3. Place the collector back in the ventilated box to prevent contamination.

4. Use collected cells directly for DNA extraction using preferred methods.
