Description
The Caffeine Test Kit is designed for the in vitro qualitative detection of caffeine in human urine samples, with a cutoff concentration of 8000 ng/ml. It serves as a preliminary screening tool for caffeine abuse or overuse in forensic, workplace, and clinical testing environments. The kit provides rapid, visual results within minutes and is intended for professional use. For confirmation, analytical methods such as Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS) should be employed.
Key Features:
-
High Sensitivity: Detects caffeine levels at a threshold of 8000 ng/ml.
-
Rapid Detection: Results available within 5 minutes.
-
Simple Procedure: Easy-to-use dropper method; no complex instruments required.
-
Accurate Screening: Provides reliable preliminary results before confirmatory GC/MS analysis.
-
Convenient Storage: Stable under normal room temperature conditions (20–30°C).
Scope of Application:
-
Forensic toxicology screening.
-
Workplace drug monitoring.
-
Sports anti-doping investigations.
-
Medical and clinical research related to caffeine intake.
Testing Procedure:
-
Allow the sealed test kit and urine specimen to reach room temperature (20°C–30°C).
-
Remove the test device from the foil pouch and place it on a flat surface.
-
Using the provided dropper, add 3 drops (≈100 µl) of urine into the sample well (S) without air bubbles.
-
Wait for purple-red lines to appear.
-
Read results at 5 minutes; results after 10 minutes are invalid.
