Blood Sample Collection and Storage Card (FTA)

Description

The FTA Blood Sample Collection and Storage Card is chemically treated to lyse cell membranes and denature proteins, allowing nucleic acids to be fixed and protected from UV damage, microbial, and fungal degradation. Infectious pathogens in the sample are inactivated, making the sample safe for handling and transport without hazard labeling. Nucleic acids can be recovered by punching out a small disc from the FTA card for downstream applications such as PCR. Indicator FTA cards change color upon sample application (pink to white) for easy sample identification. CloneSaver™ cards are recommended for plasmid DNA extraction.

Usage Instructions:
